Evaluation and Pre-Departure

When you have come to our DENTAL VACATIONS web site, most likely you are looking to travel abroad for dental services. On this page we will give you detailed information on our process.

Step 1 - Send and e-mail to contact@dentaltouristvacations.com and give us the time you want to go to Hungary and whether or not you want our assistance with air fare. Next fill out the Medial Questionnaire and return it to us.  We will get back to you within 24 to 48 hours for a first consultation in which we answer your questions and concerns. Step 2 - You will be asked to send your dental records to our partners in Hungary and or digitalized x-rays for an evaluation and cost estimate.

Step 3 - Planning your travel which includes setting the treatment dates, making arrangements for your stay as per the package plan you have selected, and making your airline reservation. You have the option to make your own air arrangements, use frequent flyer miles or let us arrange for the most convenient flights for you.

Step 4 - A deposit of  $350 deposit for your land package is due. You can pay this by check or credit card (Visa or MC). This deposits is  non-refundable if you cancel within 14 days of departure. It is however, not mandatory to book a package, we can book the hotel only if you prefer and you can pay for it at the end of your stay. You will need a credit card to guarantee a hotel-only reservation.  In case you have to cancel the last minute due to unforeseen circumstances we suggest trip cancellation insurance.  There are various policies including policies where you can cancel your trip for any reason and be reimbursed the non-refundable costs. We can assist you with this.

Step 5 - Departure - prior to departure you will have a detailed  itinerary with doctor appointments, surgery schedules, names, telephone numbers, e-mail and the address of where you will be staying.

Step 6 - Arrival in Hungary - Airport reception by your Hungarian host manager.  He will be your contact as long as you are in Hungary and is able to assist with whatever you require. Depending when you arrive, you  will  have your first consultation either at the day of arrival or the next day.

Step 7 - Your dental treatment begins.

Step 8 -  Continue treatment if necessary or take the time between treatments to begin your dental vacation.

Step 9 -  Enjoy your dental vacation in-between treatment sessions

Step 10 - Departure. 

TRAVEL INFORMATION AND QUESTIONS

1. You must be in the possession of a valid passport with an expiration date at least 6 months past departure.

2. Don't wait until the last minute to make arrangements for your overseas flight.  Air fares are usually more expensive on short notice.

3 - Take out Travel Insurance, see above.

4. Financing - we can assist with financing for your dental treatments. We suggest you do this at least 3 month in advance since the process of getting approved and getting the funds wired to Hungary is time consuming.

5. You should book your package or accommodations at least 3 weeks in advance. Although possible on short notice, the best located accommodations may not be available.

6. Language in Hungary - Hungarian.  English is spoken by all of our dentists and service providers and in some of the shops and restaurants. On the average English is not spoken as widely as in some other European countries.

7.  Inoculations -  Not necessary.

8.  Dental problems after a patient returns home - although the possibility of this happening is very small since patients will be treated by outstanding dentists, if it does occur our dentists give you a three year guarantee on workmanship. You will have to pay for your air fare, but your stay and dental procedure to fix the problem is free.
